Within ten days of opening of Sri Hemkunt Sahib gates, more than 50,000 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the Sikh shrine situated in hills of Uttarakhand. Notably, the gates of Sri Hemkunt Sahib were opened on May 25.

He further informed that they are observing a noticeable hike in pilgrim frequency from June 1 onwards.
Manager of Gurudwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib (Rishikesh) S. Darshan Singh informed that the Gurudwaras run by Sri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust serves ‘langar’ (free food) whole year for which the Sikh devotees send ration. “Despite increased pilgrims, langar is being served without any shortages,” he added.
